Malcesine and other towns<\/h2>\n

The ‘comune’ of Malcesine is the greater area centred around Malcesine and includes Navene, Campagnola and Val di Sogno as well as the town of Malcesine itself (say \u201cmalchesne\u201d).\u00a0Whilst we are delighted if you want to sail and windsurf with us every day of your visit, there is also lots to see and do away from the lake and places to visit nearby.<\/p>\n

Limone<\/h3>\n

Limone, on the other side of the lake from us is accessible by Ferry from Malcesine and can be a shopping, eating or biking adventure. Very sunny mornings but shadowed in the evening by the imposing mountain behind.\u00a0<\/p>\n

North Lake Garda<\/h2>\n

Torbole<\/h3>\n

Torbole, at the North of the lake is a holiday and sports town. Its a good start point for gentle bike rides along the Sarca river or along the lakeside to Riva del Garda. <\/p>\n

Riva del Garda<\/h3>\n

Riva del Garda (Riva d.G.), at the North-West corner of the lake is a historical walled town with a history going back to Roman times. A popular holiday destination for centuries it has great pedestrian shopping areas, bars and restaurants.<\/p>\n

Arco<\/h3>\n

Arco, just to the north of Torbole, is a climber’s town with easy access to many famous Dolomite climbs. An ancient town with cobbled streets it has a wonderful castle ruin on the mountain behind. A good walk and a wonderful view<\/p>\n

Lasize<\/h3>\n

Lazise, south of Bardolino, connects easily to Verona and has an old roman wall and excavations. Gardaland is south of Lazise on the outskirts of Peschiera<\/p>\n

South Lake Garda<\/h2>\n

Torri del Benaco<\/h3>\n

Torri del Benaco was once the major town on the lake (known then as ‘il lago di Benaco’) and has the remains of an old wall. The historic centre has properties dating to the 1400s which are are still lived in.<\/p>\n

Garda Town<\/h3>\n

Garda town is a very popular holiday destination with large waterfront of hotels, restaurants and shops. Its set in a quiet bay with very little wind so is ideal for sunbathing.<\/p>\n
